CO-ED SOCCER
Our Recreational Soccer divisions are intended for those with little or no experience in the sport. Rule-set is based around instruction and a stress-free environment for coaches and players.
ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
NYS will group families together to form a team. Our teams are formed by the following criteria: Coach request, friend request, and zip code. If you do not have a coach or friend request, then we will place you on a team that is as close to your zip code as possible. After our teams are formed, parents/guardians will meet to discuss coaching, practice times, and locations. All of our teams are managed and coached by parent volunteers. Practices are determined by each team and generally run 1-3 times a week.
If we do not have enough volunteers that pre-register, we will be working through the process to get volunteers from your child’s team. If you are interested in coaching your child’s team, please check the coach box at registration or contact our office. Volunteering for your child’s team is an amazing way to help impact the children in this community. We are always looking for great people to join our mission!
After the parents on the team are communicating, then practices will begin. Teams will generally practice 2 or more times before the scheduled 1st games. NYS will release game schedules the week of the first game. Teams will play and practice for 7-8 weeks for the season. Games are held at local gyms, schools, and parks based on your area and are all primarily held on Saturdays.
